M.I.A. – Grammy Awards

I didn’t watch much of the Grammy Awards. I wasn’t into most of the music being performed as I flipped channels. During channel surfing a performer caught my eye and the remote froze for a brief moment. Long enough for me to think…”What the Hell?”. A women is on stage rapping in a large polka dot diaper/bikini type outfit. She was obviously pregnant. I sat there in awe of her outlandish costume until the music annoyed me enough to change the channel.

Today on Grammy sites her picture is posted and she’s M.I.A. or from that group. I guess she was trying to make a humorous statement with her costume. It was probably one of the best moments from the show this year.

John Mayer / Jennifer Aniston

John Mayer either likes to be in control of the rumor mill via the media or he just likes pulling their chains. MSN reports he’s feeding rumors that he and Jennifer Aniston are engaged through a post to his Twitter account.

Some consider it cruel to Aniston if it’s untrue. In the past he’s also stopped on the sidewalk to give an improptu press conference. I think it’s pretty funny, but I’m sure it drives his publicist crazy.

But that said I would agree it isn’t a pleasant thing for him to do to her.

I just love this guy: Greg Behrendt author of “He’s Just Not That Into You” and the reality show Wake-Up Call.

I watched two episodes of this show last night and yes, it’s pretty obvious that he’s using everyday observation and common sense, but the show cracked me up. Now I have to go get the book. I already wanted to see the movie coming out in Feb. Â He’s Just Not That into You with Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Anniston, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, Jennifer Connelly, and Ben Affleck. But if you haven’t seen the reality show give it a try. Love the guy!

Joaquin Phoenix in Music?

A talented actor who has always come across to the public as a bit eccentric… Joaquin Phoenix is said to be pursuing a music career.

He performed in 3 rap songs in Vegas recently for his musical debut. Then took a header off the stage according to MSN Hot Gossip.

He looks like pooh in the photo they have posted of him.

Wow! Christina Applegate looked fabulous at the Golden Globe Awards.

I Â was not a fan of hers during the Married…With Children time, but she has since gained my admiration. I enjoy her role in her TV series Â Samantha Who?

She seems to be a good role model with the way she’s handled the difficulties in her personal life.

Inauguration Draws Celebrities

Lots of celebrities are heading to Washington for Barack Obama’s Inauguration. On Sunday there was a free concert headlined by Bruce Springsteen, Bono and Beyonce.

Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx and Queen Latifah will be doing some reading of historical passages while others will also be attendance includingÂ James Taylor,Â Garth Brooks and Sheryl Crow.

This is the first I’ve heard of this…but Kat Giantis has on her site Hot Gossip that there are reports that Sarah Jessica Parker; best known for her role in Sex and the City, and husbandÂ Matthew Broderick are splitting up.

He’s been best known in the past few years for his Broadway stints. According to the Hot Gossip site he has a wandering eye and Parker is done. They are known as one of Hollywood’s power couples and she is known for her great fashion style.

According to People Magazine’s website posted Sat. Jan. 10. Fergie; Black Eyed Peas, and Josh Duhamel of Vegas were married in Malibu.

The wedding sounded very romantic and had several celebrity friends who are listed in the article.

Jennifer Aniston is all over the gossip columns and talk shows lately. Some hype caused by her new movie with Owen Wilson; Marley and Me , and some by her nude GQ spread.

Usually I’d think badly of this kind of publicity, but it’s Jennifer Aniston she’s so nice and hell I wish I looked as fit as she does. At 39 I think she could show most of Hollywood’s top beauties a thing or two. On top of that, Â I’d like her anyway because I think she got the bad end of a deal with Jolie/Pitt. Â

And I think Jolie was tacky in her interview where she said that she and Brad fell in love on Mr and Mrs. Smith and she can’t wait for her kids to watch it someday. Yuck! I just can’t like that woman. Jennifer is just a class act that others will have a difficult time emulating.
