One show I was watching focused on her publicizing her marriage plans and courting the media then. They said she should expect the same with her divorce.

I’m such a mom. I watch The Hills pretty religiously; since I used to watch Laguna Beach with my kids. I’ve always liked Lauren; even when she was considered the bad girl on LB I was a mommy kind of happy when Stephen her old “boyfriend”? love interest? from Laguna Beach appeared on The Hills recently.
I hope she ends up with a nice guy like that. She’s had some real winners. I even had to tell my girls that I wish a nice boy like that for them.

Miley Cyrus
I thought Miley Cyrus’ parents had a better grip on her career than has become apparent this week. She has had a squeaky clean image until this photos were seen on the Internet. I personally didn’t find anything wrong with the one photo I saw, but I don’t have little kids looking up to her. She has had some rumors in the past that were put to rest quickly and if she were the usual child star I don’t think we’d be making such a big deal about it. She has issued a statement saying she’s sorry, so perhaps her fans parents will give her another chance.

Jamie Lynn Spears
Nickelodeon is keeping “Zoey 101″ and even going to run it next season.
According to Showbiz Tonight it is the number one series with kids 9-14 years old.
Next season was already filmed and will be released while she’s pregnant.

Tom Cruise
I haven’t been a fan of Tom Cruise in the past few years since his deal with Penelope Cruz, but I was watching a show recently, I believe it was called Hollywood Expose. It featured Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
They mentioned that Cruise always shows up earlier to events so that he has time to spend with the fans. They showed him taking pictures and signing autographs. Will Smith was also on the show with him, they must be friends. Smith said that many actors forget that is part of their responsibility to spend time with the public. I was impressed to hear that and that Cruise will spend one or two hours signing autographs.
They also said if someone ask them to sign when they are spending family time, they will ask the person to wait a few minutes until they can finish with their children. I think that’s great.

David Letterman/Conan O’Brien
David Letterman proves himself a nice guy again. Conan O’Brien and David Letterman have been reported to be paying their staff out of their own pockets during the recent strike.
Jay Leno, not so good; he’s not helping his staff. NBC said they would pay the late night staff through the end of the month, but if needed I’m sure Leno could sell ONE of his cars to help pay his staff’s salaries.

Oct 2, 1970 is the birthday of Kelly Ripa, recently of “Regis and Kelly”. My daughter thinks she’s the one of the best role models; cute and talented. I remember her best from “All My Children” where she was the wife of Mateo Santos who she also married in real life Mark Consuelos.
