Dane Cook Voice Broadcasting

Dane Cook has become known for using Social Media and the latest technology to keep close to his fans and his latest move continues to keep him on the leading edge.

Dane recently announced on Twitter that he was using SayNow to broadcast voice messages to his fan base. Shortly after Google announced that they had aquired the SayNow service that Dane and other celebrities are using to broadcast to their fans.

It is almost guaranteed with Google taking the helm of this technology you can be assured to hear a lot more about it and see other celebrities embracing the technology in the near future.

Emmitt Smith – Football Hall Of Fame

So glad to see Emmitt Smith inducted into the NFL Football Hall of Fame. He was always one of my favorite football players and he has always shown class in how he carries himself, unlike a lot of the other start athletes.

Jay Leno vs Conan O’Brien = Craig Ferguson

Here is the best solution. Jay Leno retires, Conan O’Brien goes wherever he wants, and NBC turns their Late Night time slots over to Craig Ferguson.

Leno is past his prime, Conan is not that good, and Craig Ferguson is just flat out hilarious!

Just learned of Laura Veirs. She is a young recording artist that gets put into the Folk Genre, but hard to classify sounds these days. Very nice sound and her latest CD is the self released July Flame.

I’m not a country music fan, but who wouldn’t like Randy Travis. He just seems like such a nice guy. Born May 4, 1959 in North Carolina. He is said to have had a rocky start with his brushed with the law. Since starting his country music career he seems like he has his life together.

He has also done some acting roles like several “Touch By An Angel” episodes and recently National Treasures: Book of Secrets.

M.I.A. – Grammy Awards

I didn’t watch much of the Grammy Awards. I wasn’t into most of the music being performed as I flipped channels. During channel surfing a performer caught my eye and the remote froze for a brief moment. Long enough for me to think…”What the Hell?”. A women is on stage rapping in a large polka dot diaper/bikini type outfit. She was obviously pregnant. I sat there in awe of her outlandish costume until the music annoyed me enough to change the channel.

Today on Grammy sites her picture is posted and she’s M.I.A. or from that group. I guess she was trying to make a humorous statement with her costume. It was probably one of the best moments from the show this year.

John Mayer / Jennifer Aniston

John Mayer either likes to be in control of the rumor mill via the media or he just likes pulling their chains. MSN reports he’s feeding rumors that he and Jennifer Aniston are engaged through a post to his Twitter account.

Some consider it cruel to Aniston if it’s untrue. In the past he’s also stopped on the sidewalk to give an improptu press conference. I think it’s pretty funny, but I’m sure it drives his publicist crazy.

But that said I would agree it isn’t a pleasant thing for him to do to her.

I just love this guy: Greg Behrendt author of “He’s Just Not That Into You” and the reality show Wake-Up Call.

I watched two episodes of this show last night and yes, it’s pretty obvious that he’s using everyday observation and common sense, but the show cracked me up. Now I have to go get the book. I already wanted to see the movie coming out in Feb. Â He’s Just Not That into You with Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Anniston, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, Jennifer Connelly, and Ben Affleck. But if you haven’t seen the reality show give it a try. Love the guy!

Joaquin Phoenix in Music?

A talented actor who has always come across to the public as a bit eccentric… Joaquin Phoenix is said to be pursuing a music career.

He performed in 3 rap songs in Vegas recently for his musical debut. Then took a header off the stage according to MSN Hot Gossip.

He looks like pooh in the photo they have posted of him.
