John Mayer either likes to be in control of the rumor mill via the media or he just likes pulling their chains. MSN reports he’s feeding rumors that he and Jennifer Aniston are engaged through a post to his Twitter account.

Some consider it cruel to Aniston if it’s untrue. In the past he’s also stopped on the sidewalk to give an improptu press conference. I think it’s pretty funny, but I’m sure it drives his publicist crazy.

But that said I would agree it isn’t a pleasant thing for him to do to her.

Jennifer Aniston is all over the gossip columns and talk shows lately. Some hype caused by her new movie with Owen Wilson; Marley and Me , and some by her nude GQ spread.

Usually I’d think badly of this kind of publicity, but it’s Jennifer Aniston she’s so nice and hell I wish I looked as fit as she does. At 39 I think she could show most of Hollywood’s top beauties a thing or two. On top of that, Â I’d like her anyway because I think she got the bad end of a deal with Jolie/Pitt. Â

And I think Jolie was tacky in her interview where she said that she and Brad fell in love on Mr and Mrs. Smith and she can’t wait for her kids to watch it someday. Yuck! I just can’t like that woman. Jennifer is just a class act that others will have a difficult time emulating.

People’s website has pictures of the unidentified guy that Jennifer Aniston has been seen with. He’s a nice looking British model Paul Sculfor. The two are said to have some special loves in common like the beach and Mexican food.

I hope he turns out to be a nice guy too.
