Rich young stars
Forbes list of the richest young stars had some usuals on the list: Lindsay Lohan and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
Then there were a few I didn’t think of or expect such as Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame and Dakota Fanning of War of the Worlds and I Am Sam.
Also, the youngest star on the list Abigail Breslin, 10 years, who starred in Little Miss Sunshine and Raising Helen.
Of Interest/It's Birthday, Bitch
... I can't stop staring at Suri – and wondering what her future book will be like. And the movie version? Let's see – in 20 years, Chace Crawford will play Suri's dad in "Barley Water Baby" – with Dakota Fanning as Katie, and we'll get to laugh at how camp it is. In the Broadway musical version, Suri will be played by Kaye Ballard, because today is Kaye Ballard's 83rd birthday, and she's already got the Suri haircut. – Excerpted from Chexydecimal
Coraline = Yum
I am a HUGE Selick fan and even HUGER Gaiman fan, but then I hear the soundtrack is from They Might Be Giants! OMG, it's like a dream team. This looks so awesome...I can't wait to see her sew buttons on her eyeballz! Title: Coraline Genre: Animation/Family/Fantasy Directed by: Henry Selick Written by: Neil Gaiman (Novel), Henry Seick Starring: Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher, John Hodgman, Keith David Music by: They Might Be Giants, Bruno Coulais Budget: $35 million Movie Release Date: February
Trailer: Coraline
Trailer: Coraline Big fan of Neil Gaiman here. Have been for years. He is a very genuine and warm author, despite the black leather jacket and the rock star black sun glasses, and he simply has more talent than I care to admit. At least I get to read that talent and be very entertained. From the more childlike—and possibly twisted—part of Gaiman’s imagination came Coraline, a young adult book with a great story. Now that story has been given the Hollywood treatment! Henry Selick, the directo
Trailer: Coraline
Trailer: Coraline This trailer just hit the Internet early Thursday morning. Coraline is the next animated movie from Henry Selick, the man behind The Nightmare Before Christmas. In this one, Coraline is taken into an alternate world where everything is perfect. Too perfect. She can stay, but she needs to give up her soul. Well, not really. Her eyes will turn into buttons! Dakota Fanning is the voice behind Coraline. This one actually looks really great, and it hits theaters in February of
Trailer for Henry Selick’s Coraline
Earlier this year a short clip for stop motion master Henry Selick’s vision of Coraline. Based on a book by Neil Gaiman and adapted for the screen by Selick, the story is that of Coraline, a bored girl who finds mystery and adventure when she enters a parallel world through a door behind her couch. This new world seems perfect except that her “other” father and mother have button eyes. I’ve since read the novel that the film is based on and rather unexpectedly, it’s very dark and creepy and I

Full Coraline Trailer Arrives
A full trailer for Coraline, the upcoming stop-motion animated film from director Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas), is now online. The flick features the voices of Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders and Ian McShane. Adapted from Neil Gaiman’s book, Coraline centers around a bored girl in her new home who finds a secret door and discovers an alternate version of her life on the other side. On the surface, this parallel reality is eerily similar to her re
‘Coraline’ Trailer Debuts Online
Photo: Focus Features I am one of the select few that does not like Henry Selick’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. I am ceaselessly amazed at how I am able to fall asleep about 30 minutes in every single time I try to watch it. I have also never even seen his stop-motion animated feature James and the Giant Peach. There is no reason that I haven’t seen that one outside of the fact I just haven’t seen it. However, I am willing to admit the work that goes into a stop-motion animated feature i
Trailer: Coraline
Trailer: Coraline By Craig Kennedy - November 19th, 2008; 4:26 pm The adaptation of Neil (Sandman) Gaiman’s children’s book Coraline by writer/director Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas) has been on LiC radar since it was originally announced as a 2008 release. Since then it’s been pushed back to February 2009, but my enthusiasm is undimmed. At last, here’s a look at the first Coraline trailer: The story of a young girl (voiced by Dakota Fanning) who discovers a secret door to
‘Coraline’ Trailer
The Nightmare Before Christmas director Henry Selick has a new movie coming out based on the based on the book by Neil Gaiman. The movie is Coraline and it’s due out in February. I’ll be seeing this one in theaters, I’m a sucker for good old fashioned stop-motion animation. Not to mention the great team behind the film. Source: Trailer Addict
Mormon Pole Dancing To Be in the Olympics of the Day
I don’t know what drugs these whores are on, but I like to think it’s the word of God, because these Mormons in Utah are trying to claim that Pole Dancing should be an Olympic sport, and that it is some kind of legitimate sport and that they are athletes, which is something I’ve always argued because I like to give strippers more credit than being money hungry, drug addicted, fake tit party girls. I assume that these Mormons are pushing this because Religious people are repressed and they a
Push--the trailer attached to Twilight
Here's one that sells the movie...only it seems loathe to pass along the TITLE of the film it's plugging. Push is some telekinetic mumbo jumbo with Chris Evans, Djimon, Camilla Belle and Dakota "PLEASE take a few years off" Fanning,...
Joy Behar: “Homeschool Kids Are Demented.”
On the liberal, woman-centered daytime talk show “The View,” Joy Behar called homeschool children “demented.” Let the video load and skip ahead to around the 7:00 mark: “A lot of those kids are demented…” Here are a few of the “demented” children who were homeschooled: Twelve year-old Bryceson Harvey, winner of “the 14th annual ‘Can You Find the Mapman?’ Contest” Haley Stewart, winner of the Reading Rainbow Competition Nathan Cornelius, winner of the 2005 National Geographic Bee 16-year-
Cat in the Hat Table Lamp
The Cat in the Hat might have been one of the worst movies ever (winner of the 2004 Razzie for Worst Excuse for an Actual Movie (All Concept/No Content!) despite the great performance by Dakota Fanning in the film outshining Alec Baldwin and Mike Myers), but you can’t deny that the Dr. Seuss book is a classic and a must-read for any child. The Cat in the Hat Table Lamp is made from a solid resin base, this 22″ tall lamp has the Cat in the Hat’s iconic hat as it’s lampshade. The cat’s hand hol

So I thought I would see how/when/why you started your blog and found your first entry. A quote - "I don't know how often I'll update this thing, once I decide I like it I'll probably be here more than you'd like me to." 200,000+ visits later I am thinking you are taking a liking to it! :) LOL yeah, obviously I took to blogging! hahahaha So did you have Kenn and Keeghan vaccinated? Ahem. Yes, I did. With Kennedy it was really a matter of keeping her healthy. Her immune system was SO weak that w
Smiths are still smitten by each other
Perhaps the most lasting and lovable Hollywood couples Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are covering the Essence Magazine December 2008 When they talk about disciplining their children they have come up with a simple method to teach them the value of money. Hancock and his wife believe that the kids should be thought financial responsibility early in life in order to be responsible as adults. The star kids Jaden, 10 and Willow, 8 are free to enjoy toys and treats, provided they ‘pay’ for i
The Secret Life Of Bees - Movie trailer
This looks heartbreakingly beautiful. The movie itself ‘The secret life of bees’ is based on a novel, by Sue Monk Kidd. I read a review where they say because they gave the movie a feel good theme of love and redemption they robbed the book of its ‘maudlin tale’ and melodrama according to the critic. [...]
Go see it!
I LOVED the movie!! It was SO good! I am always a little cautious when they turn amazing books into movies, but this one was awesome! I really love Dakota Fanning and am so happy she's sticking around and still making movies... a lot of child stars either drop off the map or SHOULD drop off the map! LOL She's great though! While I liked Jennifer Hudson's acting, I really pictured her part as being someone older, maybe like around August's age, but she was still great! I think the rest of the p
Neil Gaiman’s Coraline Comes to Film
The publicity is starting for the movie adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s Coraline. It’s the story of a young girl who finds a secret door and enters a fantasy world (which is why it’s often compared to Alice in Wonderland). There, she meets versions of her parents who seem better … until things turn creepy and they want to keep her. Coraline Buy this book Gaiman calls the novella, written for young readers, “the book I’m proudest of” and “the strangest book I’ve written”. (The first chapter is al
