Kasey Kahne/Paris Hilton

So the buzz on the Internet is that Paris Hilton and Kasey Kahne met in Hollywood.
According to many sources and blogs they did meet and she kissed him. She said he was cute, but who doesn’t think he’s cute. Most of the Nascar type blogs are full of individuals that are very negative on the subject, which I understand.
So hopefully this is the last we’ll hear of his connection to Hilton. We all would like to think he has more sense than to be connected to Paris.

Chocolate Parties and Chicken Dances: A Tale of Two Product Launches at WOMMA 2008

At WOMMA 2008, I attended two leading brand breakout sessions- Hershey’s and McDonald’s.  Each presented a case study on how they successfully used word of mouth marketing to launch a new offering to their customers. Hershey’s launched their Bliss chocolate line in three flavors with 10,000 in-home viral marketing parties with partner House Party.  While, McDonald’s launched it’s first-ever chicken-for-breakfast menu item, the Southern-style chicken biscuit, with a user generated dance web site

jimmie johnson’s dad is cool

Congratulations to Jimmie Johnson and the No. 48 Lowe’s team for winning their third consecutive Sprint Cup Championship. I know in the weeks leading up to this past Sunday I was hoping for someone else to come along and take the Championship from Jimmie, but that was all for the sake of drama. I just wanted it to be more interesting and less boring. You have to admit that while it is a truly amazing, huge task to win any Championship three times in a row it is sort of boring to watch. But

Kahne sixth in NASCAR season finale

Fuel mileage figured prominently in the finish order of Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Two Dodge drivers were on the correct side of the fuel mileage battle while it knocked the third out of a top-10 finish. Kasey Kahne finished sixth in the No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger, his best finish since a runner-up effort at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in the 31st race of the 36-race season. It was his 14th top-10 finish of 2008. Kahne’s season includes wins at Lo

Thrice As Nice: Edwards wins race, Johnson takes title

Carl Edwards did all he could, leading the most laps and winning the Ford 400, but it was Jimmie Johnson who cashed the big check at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Johnson cruised to a 15th-place finish to wrap up his third straight Cup title, besting Edwards by 69 points.

Dodge Motorsports Notes & Quotes - Homestead Race Final

Kasey Kahne (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Finished 6th “A great result for our Budweiser Dodge tonight. They crew guys did a great job and Kenny (Francis, Team Director) made a great call to get us track position and give us a top 10. We didn’t have the fastest car during the heat of the day, but once the sun went down and the track tightened up, we seemed to get faster and faster. are you ready for the nascar season to be over?

I guess I am. It’s time to take a break. It’s time to take a breath and get ready for next year, for fans, teams and drivers alike. We have three months to familiarize ourselves with all of the new teams and driver changes that happened this year. Someone should make a cheat sheet ’cause I can’t seem to wrap my head around all the changes that’ll be in place next year. The DEI / Ganassi merger that was announced this week is not helping things. When I read about it all my first thought was w

View From the Couch: Phoenix II

View From the Couch: Phoenix II November 10th, 2008 by mike For anyone watching Jimmie Johnson and the #48 team celebrate in Victory Lane at Phoenix, it looked a lot like a team celebrating a championship. Everyone got soaked with Gatorade and took longer than usual to settle down. If the #48 knows it, then it’s really over. Sure, Johnson has to avoid trouble and finish 36th or better but it’s basically academic at this point. No Chase driver has lost the point lead entering Homestead, and
