Lauren Conrad

I’m such a mom. I watch The Hills pretty religiously; since I used to watch Laguna Beach with my kids. I’ve always liked Lauren; even when she was considered the bad girl on LB I was a mommy kind of happy when Stephen her old “boyfriend”? love interest? from Laguna Beach appeared on The Hills recently.
I hope she ends up with a nice guy like that. She’s had some real winners. I even had to tell my girls that I wish a nice boy like that for them.

How a handfull of cheerios ended India's modeling career

{at the rehearsal before the show. notice: Cheerios in hand = compliant toddler} India had her first (and last) modeling gig today. It was a runway show for Simple Shoes at a swanky hotel in Laguna Beach. She had one task: walk down the runway, turn around, walk back. Let's just say things did not go as planned, and I don't think we will be asked back. In truth, I really haven't pursued any kind of modeling stuff for her, even though people often tell me I should. But I heard about the show t

Celebs in Denim: Ray-J in True Religion

I guess the Norwoods are coming up again. Brandy has been popping up all over Hollywood releasing a new song/video and here we find her brother Ray-J (of Kim Kardashian sex tape fame) filming a new reality show. I think he should have been a little quicker to the drawing board. Me thinks he let the porno cash cow timing get passed him. I am gonna guess this reality show will be a FAIL. I could be wrong though. I never thought Laguna Beach would get more than a season, nor that all those “r

Laguna Beach foreclosure tour

You may have noticed the OC Register recently profiled the fact that Laguna Beach (gasp!) has foreclosures of its own. Thanks to reporter Kelli Hart for getting the story out there. The story listed six active foreclosures in the 92651 ZIP code (along with others in various stages of the process). We're going to expand on some of the ones currently for sale on the MLS for you here. From the Register (the part in quotes): "1363 Morningside Drive. Unpaid loans part of nasty real estate fight

The board of the Santa Ana-based commercial brokerage and investment firm Grubb & Ellis lambasted former company chairman Tony Thompson in a letter mailed to stockholders this week, accusing him of starting up a competing company and failing to repay company loans. Thompson, who founded another company that merged with Grubb & Ellis last December, denied those accusations in a phone interview and responded with a letter of his own to stockholders. Thompson is heading a competing slate

In The Body: Writing and Running, Part Two

A few days ago I wrote a post about writing and running.  Since then I've been staying in Laguna Beach and running the canyon.  Okay, I run down and walk back up, but then so does nearly everyone else.  It is a looong way back up.  Yesterday as I hit the last and steepest hill I ran into a man named George who proceeded to tell me about Kangen water, which helped make the hill climb a lot easier.  (He dropped off some of the water for me to try later, and that was pretty cool, too.) Water and i
