Anne Heche/James Tupper
I didn’t know if “Men in Trees” would be returning for another season or it was done. I knew that Anne Heche was going through a divorce and she was seeing co-star James Tupper. I expected some negative fall-out from those situations, but according to the press releases I’ve read this week, they have been filming another season of the show.
Also, James Tupper has said told a Vancouver newspaper that he and Heche have bought a house in West Vancouver and will be living together there.
Scott Elrod
So the new hot guy on “Men in Trees” is Scott Elrod who plays Cash who has been on two episodes so far.
IMBD doesn’t have much listed on his filmography, so I’m going to guess he’s fairly new, but definitely someone to keep an eye on.
Men In Trees
Reading MSN the other day, I found an article on the hit shows and duds this season.
One of the shows they mentioned was “Men In Trees”. It has been one of my favorites this year, but no one else in my family or anyone I know has mentioned their interest in it. A strong point of the show is the sexual tension between James Tupper “Jack” and Anne Heche. I just thought it was good acting, but while reading People magazine for March 19 I found an article which states that both are separated from their spouses and have been [...]
Post Election Hate Running Rampant
Last week, seven teenagers went out on a modern-day lynching because they had an urge “to beat up some Mexicans.” Marcello Lucero, an Ecuadorian immigrant, was killed in what Suffolk Police are calling a hate crime. He was murdered at the hands of a gang of seven high school students in Patchogue, New York, looking for Latinos to target, according to testimony they gave to the police after they were arrested. That was the subject of today’s conference call hosted by the Workplace Project, Long
Wall Street Journal Stops To Ask For Directions, Is Told That It Passed Self-Parody Eight Exits Back
In the spirit of the impending season, let me just say, Jesus Christ, the WSJ is printing a lot of lunatics these days. Case in point, WSJ deputy editor Dennis Henninger, who explains that saying “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas” is leading us inexorably into subprime-fueled financial ruin on the certain road to a Mad Max society. At this point, you are tut-tutting “Oh, Ken … how you exaggerate. Let’s see what this fellow actually said.” And I say, no really. One man’s theory:
Parol
Parol Though not strictly a custom, every Christmas season, Filipino homes and buildings are adorned with beautiful star lanterns, called parol (Span. farol, meaning lantern or lamp-Merriam Webster Spanish- English English- Spanish Dictionary). The earliest parols were traditionally made from simple materials like bamboo sticks, Japanese rice paper (known as "papel de Hapon") or crepe paper, and a candle or coconut oil-lamp for illumination; although the present day parol can take many differ
More COMMUNICATIONS of value…Obama OUT FOR HIMSELF

My South
Although I will never willingly live there again, I am (as I reminded myself with yesterday’s post) a child of the South. There are certain things that can still instantly transport me to that part of myself, a particular sense of rootedness and home that isn’t really so much about the South itself as it is about a deep part of my from-the-moment-of-birth identity. I may no longer be in those places or cultures, but they are mine, and sometimes I open those internal doors and take joy in revisi
Take Action: Blocking out Borneo’s loggers
Source: guardian.co.uk November 20th 2008 Unggai Ak Gumeh is in charge of the village of Kampung Klauh in Sarawak, one of the two Malaysian states on the island of Borneo. A slight, wiry figure in his long red jogging shorts and white polo shirt, his Dayak ancestors long ago made this jungle their home. Yet now his village, along with many others, is under threat from plantation and logging companies that believe they can buy native territories from the local Sarawak government Dayak men p

Egypt: American University in Cairo's New Campus Sparks Debate
Designed to accommodate 5,500 full-time students and 1,500 faculty and staff, the American University in Cairo's new $400 million, 260-acre campus is technologically advanced and environmentally friendly. Students say that it was a premature move as they suffer sexual harassment and expensive food, among many other issues. Chronicling Cairo wrote in a very sad post: Since we moved to Heliopolis we've been dealing with an incredible amount of sexual harassment. Keep in mind that the entire tim
Tees 4 Trees - Earth Friendly Apparel
Tees 4 Trees - Earth Friendly Apparel I think that I shall never see a poem lovely as a treeJoyce Kilmer knew what she was talking about when she wrote Trees and so do the women who own Tees 4 Trees. By creating and selling tree-themed apparel in a socially and environmentally conscious way they are hoping to increase awareness and respect for tree life. I was excited to receive my tee in the mail from them. My dh always whines that HE never gets anything good from my reviews so I asked to

(Application Study Bible) So what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? I was standing in the Old Growth Forest near Nelson, British Columbia, staring at a most extra-ordinary pine tree. The base of the tree rested on a huge boulder like a giant sitting on a chair. The bark was s

I'm back!! and only a week without the net, so not too bad! We were told we werent to be reconnected until next week, but its working now so here I am. We were wondering if its temporarily working for line tests though so if I disappear again for a few days that will be the reason and I'll be back next week. I am hoping though, that the service is properly restored now.well, we survived the move from hell! A comedy of errors to be sure! except it wasnt funny! This is just a brief synopsis, the

The Squad -- "Rubicon" A chapter of 'Absolved' by Mike Vanderboegh Disclaimer: This is a fictional work of precognitive history. Any resemblance to persons living or dead is strictly coincidental, as far as you know. Blow Fly: any of a large family of flies known for the habit of the larvae, or immature flies of, infesting animal carcasses. They are found worldwide, occurring nearly every place inhabited by people. Blow flies are slightly larger than true house flies, and the bodies of many a
REVIEW: Apache Eyes by Yeva Wiest
Dear Ms. Wiest, “Apache Eyes” is the second novella from you I’ve read. And it’s totally different from the first one. Not just because it’s a f/f historical but because it lacks the black humor that made “Practical Purposes” such a joy to read. But that’s okay, as it shows that you’re not just a one note author. The novella starts strongly with intense descriptions that put me in the heart of the action. Jenny Barden is alone, in the heat of a blazing Arizona day, burying her slime of a hu
The real Sim City
I asked Don to leave the highway so that I could try and find a state historic landmark that was supposed to be in the area. We went the way I thought it was, I couldn’t see it, and things looked dangerously tight. So we turned around, and went the other way instead, down a pretty lane called Sims Road. We found Sims. What a lovely surprise! The road wound down through woodland to a USFS campground, Sims Flat; we’d had no idea it existed. It was right beside the river and, for that matter, I-

The Wilderness
According to the Shaaras, Chancellorsville was once an iron works and all the trees had been felled at one time to fire the furnaces. What grew back for miles around was a bewildering morass of hills, gullies and swamps. There were few trails and line of sight could usually only been found on the roads. Lee had faced Hooker here before Gettysburg with only half his strength. Longstreet’s Corp had been sent south to forage for much needed supplies. Splitting his command, Lee allowed Stonewall J
