Scott Elrod

So the new hot guy on “Men in Trees” is Scott Elrod who plays Cash who has been on two episodes so far.
IMBD doesn’t have much listed on his filmography, so I’m going to guess he’s fairly new, but definitely someone to keep an eye on.

Men In Trees

Reading MSN the other day, I found an article on the hit shows and duds this season.
One of the shows they mentioned was “Men In Trees”. It has been one of my favorites this year, but no one else in my family or anyone I know has mentioned their interest [...]

Obama, Daniels Redouble Change

By BRIAN A. HOWEY and MARK SCHOEFF JR. INDIANAPOLIS - This was an election with something for everyone. Democrats saw Indiana go blue for the first presidential election since 1964 and retained control of the Indiana House by a 52-48 margin. Republicans saw Gov. Mitch Daniels win a second consecutive term, defend the attorney general and superintendent of public instruction offices, maintain a 33-17 margin in the Indiana Senate and defend their four congressional seats by resounding margins.

Indiana House Hangs on 3 Cliffhangers

By BRIAN A. HOWEY INDIANAPOLIS - The balance of power in the Indiana House hangs in the balance on three races that showed miniscule leads by Republicans early Wednesday morning. It could be anywhere from a day to more than a week before it’s all sorted out. State Rep. Tim Harris and Republican challengers Kelly Gaskill in HD37 and Randy Truitt in HD26 are clinging to tiny leads that could change once provisional ballots are counted. Depending on how those races conclude, the House will eith

HPI’s Final Forecast for an Epic Election

By BRIAN A. HOWEY MARION, Ind. - The answers to 2008’s persistent questions begin to fill in 30 hours from now as the polls close on the most sensational political year in Indiana since the Civil War. The statistics already show that Hoosiers have taken to the spirit of voting we saw in Iraq in the dark winter of 2004. As a lethal insurgency gathered, citizens there proudly held up their ink-stained fingers in their war-torn cities to show they had voted. Here in Indiana, as the smoke from the

State of the Day - Indiana

The Hoosier State has been a pretty reliably Republican state on the Presidential level, last going Democrat in the Lyndon Johnson landslide of 1964. Yet, it has had competitive state politics. It had Democratic Governors from 1989-2005 and comfortably reelects its moderate Democratic Senator Evan Bayh, just as it does its moderate Republican Richard Lugar. While not mentioned in the same breath as Virginia or Colorado, Indiana looked for a while to be trending Democratic. This appears less so

Is Your Favorite Faith Based Blog on This List?

What are your favorite faith based blogs you read?  I have a few different categories in my mind of blogs I read.  I have a total list, which includes some of my friends blogs and some of my favorite faith based blogs, and more I just flip through on a daily or weekly basis.  I have a few blogs I read (this would be across all categories) that are really bad, but for some reason I have some fascination with what they will post next because the blog is so bad (poor design, format, sentence or gr

Stuff You Need to Know, Monday, September 1, 2008

The teenage years of John Lennon are going to be the subject of Nowhere Boy, directed by Sam Taylor-Wood. The film "follows Lennon through his formative years growing up in Liverpool, the tense relationship between his aunt Mimi and mother Julia and on to his first meetings with Paul McCartney." Casting is underway; production is supposed to start in March on location in Liverpool. I wonder when somebody's going to do a fictionalized HBO or Showtime-level series about the origins of The Beat

Rick(y) Shroder is signed to direct the Sci Fi Channel Original Movie Hellhounds. Wait, that isn't real news. Rick Schroder directing a Sci Fi original

Filed under: Other Sci-Fi/Supernatural Shows, Industry, Reality-Free Is it just me, or does the phrase "A Sci Fi Original" kind of make you cringe? They use it a lot when promoting the very special Saturday night movies, and let's be honest, a lot of them are really bad. Rick Schroder is hoping to change all that. He's signed on with RHI Entertainment to direct Hellhounds. Scott Elrod gets the starring role. He'll play Kleitos, a Greek warrior, who leads his men in a battle against the hellhoun

Don't Win the NLCS for Us

If you want to feel welcome at Shea Stadium (or its successor facility), here's a piece of advice. Don't be the man on the mound when the Mets clinch the pennant there. All will never be right for you in Flushing again. Our sample size is two pitchers, so the rule is open to interpretation. But the precedent isn't pretty. Case 1 Nolan Ryan enters Game Three of the 1969 NLCS in the third inning and pitches seven innings to close out the Braves, undoubtedly the most phenomenal long-relie

Old Fuss and Feathers

Old Fuss and Feathers August 21st, 2008 by ELROD America loves to elect military men to political office. Since General Washington earned the votes for the Presidency numerous other military heroes - some generals and some common soldiers - have parlayed their military prowess into political gold. Presidents Jackson, Wm. Harrison, Zachary Taylor, Ulysses Grant, James Garfield, Teddy Roosevelt, and Dwight Eisenhower are the best examples of this tradition. But American politics is also lit
